Guide for Shopping in JB for First Timer!

Everytime I catchup and gather with my ex-school/classmates, we would travel down to JB for a Girls Day out! We often visit City Square Mall & KSL City Mall during our trip there. Recently JBCC opens beside City Square Mall in JB so It's like another shopping choices for us.

Here are my list of Shop Recommendations for shopping in JB.
Generally, the good stuff are as followed:

[CLOSED] BATH & BODY WORKS @ KOMTAR JBCC

American's Favorite Fragrances, from Room to Body Lotion Fragrances. The Fragrances are unique and awesome and they are having some Sales till end of June 2015. If you like smelling everything nice & good, feel free to head down to either their JB Branch or even Singapore's ones.

Location:
Lot G33, Ground Floor,
Komtar JBCC,

Johor Bahru, 80000,

Johor, Malaysia

[CLOSED] UKULELE STORE @ KSL CITY MALL

If you're one Ukulele Lover, then you should not miss this one at KSL.
Location:
KSL City Mall, L1-136

[CLOSED] DOUBLE COMBO @ KSL CITY MALL

An interesting way to Eat & Drink Snacks in a Combo. And After all that, you can bring your cup back to Singapore as Souvenir and re-use it. (Recycle your cup, and it's especially good for Movie time at Home)
Location:
KSL City Mall, L2 (near Cinema)

TAOYUAN @ KSL CITY MALL

A Candy Heaven for Sweet treats lover. Just like our Festive CNY Pasam Malam at Chinatown yearly but this is Everyday in KSL.
Location:
KSL City Mall, Basement/Lower Ground Floor (LG-11 & 12)

MY WEDDING TALKS @ KSL CITY MALL

If you're getting married soon, this is probably one shop you should visit. It's a tiny shop with many varieties of Wedding/Marriage products that may interest the youngster too. Look at those lovely pair teddy/plush. Visit them to view more.
Location:
KSL City Mall, BZ-45

SDS @ KSL CITY MALL

SDS in Malaysia is just like the Breadtalk chains in Singapore. With many Branches around Johor Bahru, and wide varieties range of Food in their Bakery aka Restaurant. I love especially Food styling & presentation.

City Square Mall (next to the custom) have one of its Branch too, however I like the KSL Branch better due to its interior spaces. So recommended this Branch instead of the other one.
Location:
KSL City Mall, Basement/Lower Ground Floor (LG-41 & 42)
Another nearby Shopping mall you can visit and shop at, is somewhere near KSL.
Holiday Plaza is a few roads away and walking distance from KSL City Mall.

GEMORA @ HOLIDAY PLAZA

For the T-Shirts & Cartoons Lover, or even if you love customizing Tees you probably won't want to miss this. Gemora store is located at a corner of Holiday Plaza, they sell plenty of Colourful Cartoons Tees and do customize printing services for not just Adults Shirts but Children's too. Good for anyone who are interested in doing Couples/Families Tees especially before their Photoshoots or Parties.
Location:
Holiday Plaza, LG-61,
Jln Dato Sulaiman, 80250,
Johor Bahru

PCQ @ HOLIDAY PLAZA
Are you always into making your Hair & Face stands out from the crowd? Perhaps you need the right tool to style yourself better. PCQ is a huge shop selling Hair & Beauty accessories & tools for not just people who runs Beauty or Hair Salons, but to general public buyers too. This is where you can purchase all stuff supplies to create your own home's private Salon.

Location:
Holiday Plaza, LG-37,
Jln Dato Sulaiman, 80250,
Johor Bahru

WORLD SWEET HOUSE @ HOLIDAY PLAZA
Other than buying Sweet treats at KSL, Holiday Plaza have many shops that sells old school snacks & goods too. One of the more Popular shop is "World Sweet House" that is located on 2nd storey of the mall.
Location:
Holiday Plaza, Level 2, G26,
Jln Dato Sulaiman, 80250,
Johor Bahru

By the way, this is how Holiday Plaza looks like (for your reference recognizing it while walking over form KSL City Mall). If you are not sure how you can get to KSL from the Custom or City Square Mall, there's a bus from the Interchange that goes there. However, I think it would be good to cab over if you're coming in a Group of 3 or 4 person. One of the reason is because the Bus waiting time may be quite long. The standard pricing for one-way cabbing is approximate RM12, easily reached in 10-15mins. It is not that expensive & every Taxi driver will know how to go there.

Last but not least, City Square Mall (the shopping mall beside Custom) have plenty of nice shops around too. This last one for recommendations is one of the better Bakery me & my friends goes often.

LAVENDER @ CITY SQUARE MALL
Not only are they good at quality, they're good at presenting their food too.
All that you can expect, Nice concept, Nice Bakery Interior, Nice taste, Nice Presentation and Nice Everything else. Don't forget to buy back some for next day Breakfast for your love ones too.
Location:
City Square Mall, Level 2, J2-36
Jln Wong Ah Fook, 80000,
Johor Bahru

So I guess, this is about all the guide I can give you today. Another short reminder is that you would probably need to bring big bag pack if you plan to buy alot of stuff because you'll never know how long you'll need to Queue at the Custom after your whole/half day enjoyment in JB. And if you're just holding plastic bags you may hurt your hand while holding it for too long. It may be torn by the crowd in the bus too. So just in case of these, bring a bagpack or drive.

This is my Plastic Bag, queue-ing at the Custom last weekend.
And, one surprised brought back from JB!
Hello Turtle Plush!
